With just over a month to go, we couldn’t be more excited about the next instalment of the international APIdays conferences, APIdays Mediterranea, which will take place in Madrid between the 30th of May and the 1st of June.

We live in a world where sharing is everything, particularly in this technology-charged age. Therefore, APIdays was created as a means of sharing ideas, information, experiences and evangelisations about APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) and spreading the word about this ground-breaking new way of programming. It’s also offered us an opportunity to invent an endless list of hilarious plays on words regarding the pursuit of APIness!

Down to business. APIdays is a series of international conferences centered upon APIs and between the 30th of May and 1st of June, we will be hosting the second of these conferences, APIdays Mediterranea, in Madrid, Spain.

Here at Apicultur, we have happily (APIly) accepted the role of organisers of APIdays Mediterranea and it has to be said that the event is shaping up very nicely indeed. We have enlisted a variety of speakers and sponsors from a plethora of backgrounds and subjects across the industry who will philosophise and revel in the excitement of this API festival.

We are very proud to be in partnership with fellow organisers FaberNovel, Webshell and the API Evangelist, all of whom are central in the organisation of this event. It is also a pleasure to have WSO2 on board as a sponsor for APIdays Mediterranea and we thank them for their support.

APIdays Mediterranea will kick start on 30th May with a Hackathon, which will be followed by two days (31st May and 1st June) of API-based talks.

We have many international API experts signed up to speak including WSO2, API Evangelist, 3scale, layer7 and indeed anticipate having many more speakers sign up in the weeks to come. The event will attract an audience from across the world and across the industry, with media sponsors and large company sponsors in attendance too.

Sponsorship at APIdays Mediterranea offers considerable exposure to companies and enables them to make contacts with many others in the API industry. What’s more, it allows sponsors to take to the stage for a company presentation, more than one keynote sessions and to have their logo, as a sponsor, present on all APIdays Mediterranea publications and documentation.

Registration to attend the event is now open so please sign up and get involved! This is going to be a thoroughly superb event and we’re very much looking forward to welcoming everyone to Madrid for three days of API exploration and celebration.

We cannot wait to see all of you Shiny “API” People at the event.
